like to base the sounds dinosaurs make on their appearance, size, behavior, lifestyle, or just because I think it fits the animal.
I am going to list my favourite dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures and the animals I like to think they sounded like and why.
Heres what I like to think:(in alphabetical order)
Voice of Allosaurus: Lion.
Reason(s) being: Because it’s often referred to as “The “lion” of the Jurassic”, so figured maybe it should sound like one.
Voice of Baryonyx: Grizzly Bear.
Reason(s) being: Because the first three letters are pronounced “Bear” so I figured why not.
Voice of Carnotaurus: Leopard.
Reason(s) being: Because it was believed to be as fast as one.
Voice of Ceratosaurus: Tiger.
Reason(s) being: I know tigers are bigger than lions irl, but in my mind, if Allosaurus was the lion of the Jurassic, then Ceratosaurus was the tiger. I just think it fits.
Voice of Giganotosaurus: Same sounds used for King Kong in Kong: Skull Island, which is mainly lion sounds, with monkey and gorilla sounds as extra layers.Reason(s) being: Just because I think it fits.
Voice of Megalodon: Walrus.
Reason(s) being: A video on YouTube called “Megalodon Sound Effects HD” where someone took walrus grunts and slowed them down.
Voice of Spinosaurus: Crocodile.
Reason(s) being: It looked and behaved like a croc, so I figured maybe it should sound like one.
Voice of Stegosaurus: Red stag deer.
Reason(s) being: The sound of stegosaurus in lots of games and films are red stag deer.
Voice of Triceratops: Bull.
Reason(s) being: It had horns, and may have charged like one.
Voice of Tyrannosaurus rex: Elephant.
Reason(s) being: Elephants can roar too, plus, The T. rex in ARK: Survival Evolved used to be voiced by an elephant. And some T. rexes in video games are voiced by elephants.
Voice of Velociraptor: Vulture.
Reason(s) being: About the same size as one.
So you can go ahead and say what you think.
